Polka Dot Tot - 2 Dresses & 1 Skirt
Monday, June 20, 2016
For this
week’s #SundaysWithTot I had some fun rocking a throwback from my 30th
birthday which was almost 2 years ago. The incomparable Suzette of 828
Collection created 2 custom couture dresses for me. The cobalt blue dress was
done in a crepe material with hand cut petals of organza made into flowers. The
black dress was done using a power mesh material that pretty much has like
industrial strength stretch in it. Lol! Both
of these dress are sooooo cute but they are indeed body con dresses highlighting
all of the curves which is not always my goal. I decided to have some fun going
from day to night utilizing these amazing dresses and a super cute polka dot
skater skirt. Let's get started!
Let's get to the first look! The first look I am wearing the cobalt blue dress as a tank with the polka dot skater dress over it.
Did I mention that the polka dot skirt was $20?! See Link Below!
Look 2!
The key to wearing a dress as a shirt is making sure that the dress is very fitted. This dress once again is custom made by Suzette Opara of 828 Collection.
Look 3!
Look 3 is my favorite look! I love the simplicity of the black dress....
with the POP of the pink shoes!
It's all about having fun with your wardrobe and making those pieces hit!!
Time for the final look!!! Wait! I'm not ready yet! lol!
Look 4!
Look 4 is great for a night out on the town! This power mesh is see through!
This dress is def not for dinner with the family! hahaha!
Now for a little background on these dresses. Here are the pictures from August 2014 when I first wore these dresses for my 30th birthday festivities. I was 15 lbs smaller so they fit slightly different. (The struggle is real!) The black dress started out as a gown, but we decided to make it a body con dress to keep the party going. I wore the cobalt blue dress to dinner and changed into my black dress to party!
Throwback to 2014
